Product Management Truth – Respect your intuition

Businesses have a particularly paradoxical and perplexing relationship with intuition. It’s largely ignored in decision-making (i.e. data drives most decisions), yet the enterprise is entirely built on a founder's intuition of what the future will bring.

Product managers have very strong intuition – especially about where their product should go – but no matter how much they *believe* in the idea, their boss isn't about to allocate hundreds of thousands of dollars because they have a feeling. A great product manager respects the plight of their boss, but also respects their intuition, and finds a way serve both.
