Big changes & escape velocity

Feeling philosophical tonight!

A rocket ends up right back on earth if it doesn't achieve its escape velocity. Another way to think of it is… if you don't apply enough energy, a rocket won’t get where you want it to.

It seems that life and careers are similar. It's possible to apply effort (fuel) into improving your life/career but not see much change. Maybe it's not enough. Maybe you’re falling short of the effort needed to get the change you want.

A lot of small changes don't equal one big change. Burning rocket fuel on the launchpad with a BBQ to make hamburgers won't get you into space, even if you use all the fuel.

Big changes require big burns.
